Refuge Students meet each Sunday Night @ 5:45pm – 7:15pm.

Refuge Students also meet on Wednesday nights at 7pm for group Bible Study.

Refuge, the student ministry of First Baptist Church Lake Park, is the place to be each Sunday night at 5:45pm. If you are, or if you have a student, in 6th grade – 12th grade Refuge is where connection happens with other students and caring adults.

The storms and pressures of this world are constantly whirling, attacking, and exploding around and in the lives of students. Refuge strives to be, just that, a refuge where they can find hope, strength, encouragement and healing in the midst of some of toughest years of discovering purpose and identity.

Grounded in leading students higher in worship, deeper in commitment, and further in evangelism, students can always expect an environment of sincerity, strong Biblical teaching, and a safe place to bring their friends and hang out.  Everyone needs a Refuge…what are you going to do about it this Sunday?

A typical night at Refuge includes a fun game, large group worship and teaching, and small group discussion.

Current Teaching Series:

Friends—we’ve all got them. But are your friends influencing your life for better or for worse? In this series, we’ll look not only at the qualities we all want in good friends, but also the qualities that can help us be good friends. Because the right kind of friends—the real kind—are the best kind.
