BASIC BELIEFS
The Bible
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, authoritative, without error, powerful, and perfect Word of God.
God
We believe that God is personal and reveals Himself as One, who exists in three Persons (Trinity)-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each Person of the Godhead is distinct yet One in essence. God is completely holy, pure, and just in all that He does, and He is full of mercy, love, and compassion. God is the eternal, all-powerful, all-knowing, all-present Creator of everything.
Jesus
We believe Jesus, the second Person of the Trinity, is eternal, was born of a virgin to live in the flesh as the Son of God, was crucified, dead, buried, and rose again on the third day according the Scriptures. Jesus, after His resurrection, ascended to heaven to sit at the right hand of God the Father.
Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, indwells every believer and gives them the enabling power to live distinct and separate lives in Jesus Christ to the praise, honor, and glory of God alone.
Man
We believe that man is created in the image of God, according to the Scriptures, but is born separated from God because of sin, making him in need of a Savior.
Salvation
We believe that Christ’s death on the cross is the only, final, and complete sacrifice for the sins of every human being. Salvation is the work of God alone, not by works, and is received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Everyone repents of their sins and receives Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord is given the gift of eternal life.
Church
We believe that the church is the family of faith of all those who have placed their faith and trust in Jesus Christ for salvation. The church is not a building but rather the body of individual believers united under the name and Lordship of Jesus.
Family
We believe that God’s plan for marriage and the family is one man and one woman for life. God has given parents the primary responsibility for raising their children to understand God and the Bible while the church comes alongside them in this endeavor.
