Refuge Students meet each Wednesday Night @ 6:30 – 8:00pm.

Refuge, the Student Ministry of First Baptist Church Lake Park, is the place to be each Wednesday Night at 6:30pm. Refuge is for all students who are currently in the 6th – 12th grade. It is where connection happens with other students and caring adults.

The storms and pressures of this world are constantly whirling, attacking, and exploding around and in the lives of students. Refuge strives to be just that, a refuge where they can find hope, strength, encouragement, and healing in the midst of some of the toughest years of discovering their purpose and identity.

Grounded in leading students higher in worship, deeper in commitment, and further in evangelism, students can always expect an environment of sincerity, strong Biblical teaching, and a safe place to bring their friends and hang out.  Everyone needs a Refuge…what are you going to do about it this Wednesday?

A typical night at Refuge includes a fun game, large group worship and teaching, and small group discussion in table groups.

Safety is top priority for our families with children. Our Student Ministry is staffed by Church Members who have completed our Next Steps Membership class and undergone a certified Background Check.

PURE

YEP!!! We are having the talk. Nothing causes more regrets, hurts, and guilt than missing the mark of God’s design for sex, dating and relationships. So…let’s talk about it.

From God’s original design to healthy dating to waiting well, we’re going to cover it. We’ll cap it all off with the talk and discuss 3 myths Satan sells us about sex contrasted with 3 truths God gives us when it comes to topic of sex.

Uncomfortable? Sure. Worth it? Absolutely!!!
